Having realised that they are so many children in my community who are faced with brain damage ,mild physical disabilities, physical handcapped, autism, dsylexia, dumb and deaf and they are always neglected and left in houses by even some of their parents and gurdians. They are looked at as a problem in their famililies and homes. Therefore i so the need to start advocating and awarness campaign as well as providing phyisical support to the diabled children so that they can gain hope of life and become important citizines for our good country Uganda.Around 60% of disabled people living in Uganda reside in rural areas. Rural districts like Mityana, Lira, Mbarara and Wakiso, e.t.c have additional barriers for the disabled .Mityana, Lira, Mbarara and Wakiso, e.t.c have additional barriers for the disabled community because of a lack of services and infrastructure.

Many of the disableded persons require escorts to be with them on long journeys, sometimes 3 to 4 hours to arrive at a clinic or school! Others will need the escort to carry them; lifting them on and off of multiple forms of transport the burden of the persons weight becoming greater with age or as a condition deteriorates. An additional problem with public transportation is the vehicles are not disabled friendly, by that we mean both in the access to the patient, and in the attitude of the conductors and drivers not being receptive to this kind of passenger not forgeting buildings in town which have no favourable climbing lane for the lame persons hence denying them chance to use the facilities however much they require services in such buildings coupled with bulling and ignoring their requests.
